Historic Home Porch Restoration
This porch required removal of flooring and a plywood subfloor that had been installed over the framing. New treated porch flooring was installed directly over the framing to allow the floor to drain and breathe.

Clapboard Repair on Historic Home
Splash back from the porch roof had caused deterioration of the clapboard on this house. Siding was cut back and replaced. (The brick that you see in the wall cavity is brick nogging. Soft fired brick was used to fill the cavity and served as a substrate for the interior plaster. It was also great at keeping vermin out of the walls.)

Window Surround Repair on Addition to a Historic Home
Water had caused significant rot on these windows in an addition to a historic house. Because of the construction of these modern windows, it was not possible to remove the sash to replace the boxing, sills, and surrounds. We were able to piece in repairs with red grandis wood and epoxy which should hold up for many years.
